420 Week Event

Host a 420 Week Event.

NCF invites the community to submit ideas to host an event during the week leading up to the festival. Read more below and stay tuned for 2024 contest announcements!

How to Enter

We’re looking for ideas to educate, inform and entertain attendees from the DMV region and beyond.

If your idea is selected to be featured in the 420 Week program, you’ll receive: an up to $1,000 stipend to assist with expenses, 420 Week promo art and signage, support from NCF staff on the day-of, and inclusion in official NCF promotions.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?

The dankest ideas! We’re looking for workshops, demonstrations, unique experiences, music, performing arts, comedy and more, at venues across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

Please note that we give extra consideration to events that do not charge entry fees for attendees. We want to remove financial barriers and make 420 Week accessible to everyone in the community!

How do I apply?

Complete the 420 Week application form below. You’ll be asked for your contact information and a proposal for your event. The proposal should include the ideal venue, set up (Do you need a stage? Seating? etc), anticipated budget requirements, and program details.

The deadline is March 15, 2024.

What happens if my idea is selected?

If your idea is selected you’ll be contacted by NCF staff to start the planning process. We’ll provide promotional art and a series of deadlines for you to confirm details so that we are able to publicize your event.
