From the Front Porch to the Main Stage

Local musicians don’t get much more homegrown than Noochie and his Front Porch series are a testament to his dedication to his craft as well as the community at large.

Born Antwon Vincent, Noochie kicked off this endeavor in an earlier iteration called “Front Porch Freestyles”, as a means to share his bars and connect with fans. Last March, a “Live from the Front Porch” video featuring another homegrown powerhouse, Backyard Band, began a new chapter of the series.

What was filmed on iPhones at first is now produced by a crew of film professionals. Starting out as a personal effort to connect with his community, “Live From the Front Porch” is a gift to DMV culture that intersects communities of musicians and fans. In a digital age where it’s easy for artists and celebrities to feel removed from the people whose lives they touch, Noochie’s approach to putting the music and the musicians back INTO community is simultaneously genius in its simplicity and ground-breaking.

Sine releasing “Rookie Season”, his 2013 debut, Noochie has been a mainstay in the DMV music scene. The ascension of “Live From the Front Porch” in 2023 is punctuated by his recent addition to the roster of TIDAL’s RISING program.

We to welcome Noochie to the NCF main stage to share his front porch experience, DMV-style.
