Calling All Growers: The National Cannabis Championship is Back!
Get your green thumbs ready, it’s time to sign up for the 2024 National Cannabis Championship!
For the third year in a row, we’re celebrating the best home growers in the region and this year, we’re excited to welcome home growers from D.C., Virginia and for the first time ever, Maryland!
That’s right, on July 1, 2023, Maryland cultivators gained the right to “grow their own”. According to the Maryland Cannabis Administration:
“A person 21 years or older may lawfully cultivate up to two plants in their home, out of public view. Likewise, a household may cultivate a maximum of two plants, regardless of how many persons over age 21 live in the residence…In addition, medical patients registered with the Maryland Cannabis Administration can cultivate two additional plants, for a total of four plants; not to exceed more than four plants in a given residence.”
With the addition of Maryland Growers, we expect competition to be even higher this year as applicants compete for prizes in 4 categories:
Grand Champion Belt
Cannabinoid Title Belt
Terpene Title Belt
State Champions:
Best in Virginia
Best in D.C.
Best in Maryland

1/27/24 Last day of Registration
2/4/24 to 3/2/24 Sample Intake Period
3/2/2024 Last Day to Drop Off Sample
4/19/24 NCC winners announced live on the Main Stage at NCF
*Please note: To be invited to the NCC Grower’s Gathering, you must be fully registered for NCC 2024 by/before 11:59PM on 11/28/23. The Grower’s Gathering is by invitation only.
