Music. Education. Advocacy.

These three ingredients are the key to making NCF a celebration of progress on cannabis legalization across the country. While the music and educational aspects of the festival change year to year, the NCF Advocacy Committee, a group of 30 non-profit advocacy organizations dedicated to social justice, racial equity, and cannabis legislation, remains a constant.

Formed in 2016, member organizations work on an array of overlapping issues, including: drug policy and criminal justice reform, harm reduction, social equity, workforce development, civil and human rights, and more.

Member organizations include: the ACLU of DC, Doctors for Cannabis Regulation, Supernova Women, Drug Policy Alliance, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, DC Justice Lab, NORML, and many more.

Along with the important work of the individual organizations, advocacy committee members act as valued advisors to NCF, helping to develop educational programs, reach out to lawmakers, and organize calls to action. At the festival, they encourage and teach people how to get involved with drug policy reform in their local communities.
