The Wellness Pavilion: Elevate Your Mind, Body and Spirit
If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s the importance of self-care. This year’s Wellness Pavilion boasts eight (eight!) panels about the ways that cannabis can be used as a method of healing the mind, body, and soul. Panelists include everyone from medical doctors to yoga instructors, all of whom are focused on providing the latest information on weed wellness.
Start your festival day off on the right foot with a tree pose, downward dog, and some breathing exercises. The High Noon Yoga Flow Session is a wonderful way to begin your day at NCF, even if you’re a beginner. Gentle movements and mindfulness will help you start your day ready for everything NCF has to offer.
If you or a loved one identifies as a proud Boomer, the panel. “Cannaboomers Can Speak for Ourselves,” takes a deep dive into how older Americans are leaning into cannabis. They’ll be talking about everything from substituting weed for prescription meds to just consuming for pure relaxation and enjoyment. Listen as we explore how cannabis companies can cater to older users, and how to start the canna-conversation with your older family and friends.
Stick around for one of our most crucial panels of the day, a discussion on the rights of cannabis patients. This panel will address the intersection between cannabis and the medical community, with an emphasis on creating a more transparent relationship between patients, physicians, and policy.
In the healthcare vein, panels on the legalization of psychedelics and the fact and fiction around marijuana and mental health will provide important information for you to consider as you continue on. your wellness journey.
Later in the afternoon a panel titled, “Decriminalization and Harm Reduction: Beyond Cannabis” confronts some of the very real impacts from the War on Drugs and the communities that have been directly impacted. Veterans from all walks of life will also grapple with the question of why vets don’t have access to cannabis and will explore the ways in which advocates are approaching this problem.
End the afternoon on a high note with another yoga session! Stretch your body and balance your breathing before the inevitable dance party by the main stage.
