Dear Friends, Welcome to the National Cannabis Festival blog! It’s hard to believe that something that started as a conversation between a group of friends working in cannabis advocacy and human rights has become the National Cannabis Festival. We created this blog as a platform for our followers and supporters to learn more about the stories, places and faces that make up our community.
Our goal in creating NCF was to unite people around the achievements and challenges in the fight to end federal cannabis prohibition. We wanted to throw a big celebration with music, food and vendors - and also create a space to talk about how cannabis policy impacts social justice, the economy and the environment. Most of all, we wanted to remind everyone of the amazing spirit of the cannabis movement and the people that have made their life’s work ending federal cannabis prohibition.
The road to the festival has not been easy, but it has been tremendously rewarding. Our small team has been working around the clock to bring this vision to reality.
With just over one week to go, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for following our journey. We invite you to become part of the National Cannabis Festival story by joining us in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
Let’s make history!
